The water marble experience

I hope everyone is having a lovely week.  I have the next two days off of work so that is awesome!  Today, I finally removed my glow in the dark nail polish.  It hadn't chipped and still glowed brightly, but it was time to try something new.  So, I tried water-marbling.

Well.  Where to start?  A fellow blogger friend at Shinyismyfavouritecolour reminded me of youtube videos by SimpleLittlePleasues.  That woman sure knows how to water marble.  Me, on the other hand, well, I don't.

I tried to learn today.  I spent probably close to 2 hours doing it.  Since, my nails turned out less than perfect, in my opinion, I won't go into details about how I did it.  You can watch the videos until I master it myself. ;)  I do have 2 pointers though.  Make sure you use ROOM TEMPERATURE water and be sure to tape your fingers well so you don't get polish all over them. :)

This first water marble manicure was done with China Glaze in For Audrey and Essence in Date with the night.

This next one looks more orange in the picture, but it has orange and pink.  For this one I used American Apparel Neon Orange, China Glaze in 108 Degrees, and Essie's Mod Square and Orange, it's Obvious!

I think it is going to be awhile before I try it again.  I think water-marbling is pretty awesome, but it takes FOREVER. Maybe one day I'll have it down to a science. ;)  Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
