Tropical Sponge Gradient

Wow,  it has been TOO long since I've blogged.  It has been a super busy summer.  My best friend got married in Georgia, I've had 3 pool parties, got a new kitten, and I've been picking up extra shifts at work.  I've also been sick for almost a month...or at least I was sick and now my allergies have ruined my life. :'( It is no fun.  I've been dying to post, but I haven't been too creative with my nails.  Even when I have been, I haven't had the time to take pictures and update.

Well, today I took the time to do my nails AND take pictures AND blog about it.  YAY!  My husband got me a new macro lens for my birthday, and I'm just getting use to it. So far I love it!  For this manicure (that husband says is "very 80s") I started with my Essie base coat followed by a coat of Essie's Turquoise and Caicos.  Then using a makeup wedge I applied more Turquoise and Caicos and Spoiled's Cotton Mouth. Then I applied Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Topcoat in Flawless and sprinkled a pink glitter from Cina's Over the Rainbow Nail Art Kit.  The whole process was kind of a pain in the butt, but overall I'm happy with the result.

What do you think?  Which colors do you think would look nice in a combo like this? Let me know. :) Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
