Football Nail Art

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!  My husband was a groomsman in a friend's wedding, and I did make up for the bride and her bridal party.  It was so fun, and the girls loved their makeup! :) I wish I had pictures to share, but I left my camera at home. :(

Wes is happy that we got home in time to watch some NFL football, and the Panthers finally had another win!!  To celebrate, we have football nails! I've seen these on Pinterest, and I had to try them!

On the way home from South Carolina we had to pick up our dog from the Petsmart Hotel, and there was an Ulta next door.  My excuse for needing to go in was that I didn't have a brown nail polish, but I ended up with a lot more!  I did find a nice brown creme though.  It is Orly's Rapture, and my only complaint is that it dries darker than bottle color so it almost looks black.

For my football nail art, I started with two coats of Rapture over my Essie base coat.

Next I used my white two-way nail art pen and brush by Claire's and used the pen for the laces.  I asked Wesley if I should do them with our without the extra white stripes on the end.  He said that college football has them, but NFL doesn't. I went without for a simpler look and topped with a coat of Seche Vite. :)

Wesley did the laces for my right hand. (shown below)

In my opinion these are really fun and cute.  I think I'll keep this mani for several days because I think a lot of football fans with enjoy them. :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Check back soon for reviews on some indie brands!
